Alfonso's Anejo Line was Halfwheel's No. 1 Cigar of the Year in 2022; expect Gran Seleccion to be a high scoring follow-up!
Alfonso is another astounding line from Selected Tobaccos, the brand behind Atabey, Byron, Bandolero, and more. Alfonso pays homage to the Alfonso family, who have been producing premium, hand-rolled cigars in Cuba since 1850. Alfonso's Gran Seleccion line uses a 2-year-old Ecuadorian wrapper, a 3-year-old Peruvian binder, and fillers aged for 3 years. Followed by 5 years of post-roll age, a process used almost exclusively by Selected Tobacco brands.
Alfonso uses a different aging process from its Atabey & Byron brethren, as they are aged in Cedar aging rooms, then moved into French Oak aging rooms for a new dimension and set of flavors.
Production is limited to 200 boxes a year, an ultra-rare treat!
United Cigars fulfill Complete Boxes of Alfonso Gran Seleccion. Please allow a week to fulfill.
