Bgreen Organic Black Rice is a three-pack of certified organic, non-GMO, gluten-free, kosher black rice totaling 3 lbs, ideal for flavorful grain bowls, salads, and side dishes.
This bundle from Bgreen delivers whole-grain black rice that keeps in a pantry and cooks like other short- to medium-grain rices while offering a distinctive color and nutty aroma. Each pack is produced under organic standards and labeled non-GMO and kosher, giving you a convenient multi-bag supply for weekly meals, batch cooking, or recipe testing. The rice is sold as a three-pack to simplify restocking and reduce shopping trips.
What does this organic black rice taste and cook like?
The texture is pleasantly firm with a slightly chewy bite and a subtle nutty, earthy flavor that pairs well with savory and sweet preparations. Cooking yields a deep, glossy black to purplish hue that can add visual contrast to plates without strong overpowering flavors.
- Firm, slightly chewy texture after standard stovetop or rice-cooker methods
- Nutty, mildly earthy flavor that complements vegetables, proteins, and sauces
- Color becomes deep purple-black when cooked for dramatic presentation
How should I prepare and store Bgreen black rice?
Rinse the rice under cold water to remove any dust, then simmer in a 2:1 water-to-rice ratio until tender—typically 30–40 minutes depending on grain size. Let it rest covered for 10 minutes after cooking to absorb steam and improve texture. Store unopened bags in a cool, dry place; transfer opened rice to an airtight container to keep freshness.
- Typical cook ratio: 2 parts water to 1 part rice; cook 30–40 minutes
- Rest 10 minutes off heat to finish steaming and fluffing
- Keep in airtight container in pantry for several months; refrigerate for longer storage
What dietary and sourcing qualities does this rice offer?
Bgreen Organic Black Rice is certified organic and labeled non-GMO and kosher, making it suitable for a variety of dietary preferences and religious observances. It contains no gluten ingredients, but as with all grains, cross-contact policies vary; check packaging or contact the brand for details about manufacturing lines if you have severe allergies.
- Certified organic production methods
- Non-GMO and kosher certified labeling for broader dietary fit
- Gluten-free ingredient profile; verify manufacturing details for cross-contact
Why buy the three-pack instead of single bags?
The three-pack provides a cost-effective way to keep a steady supply of specialty rice on hand for weekly meal prep, entertaining, or recipe experimentation. Buying in a multi-pack reduces the frequency of reorders and can save on per-unit price while ensuring you have consistent product from one brand.
- Three bags in one purchase for pantry convenience and reduced shopping trips
- Consistent flavor and cooking performance across meals and recipes
- Good option for families, meal-preppers, and small foodservice use
Who is this for: Home cooks and recipe developers who want a visually striking, organically produced black rice that stores well and performs reliably in a range of dishes. It suits people following non-GMO, kosher, or gluten-free preferences and anyone looking to keep a multi-pack supply for regular meal planning or entertaining.
