Chacom has been shaping pipes in Saint-Claude, France since 1825, and the Baccara series is where the house leans into its love of polished metal accents. This Baccara matte briar pipe, shape 186, pairs a smooth walnut-brown bowl with a distinctive aluminum cap fitted right over the rim, plus a matching aluminum band at the shank. The bent black acrylic stem carries the brand's "CC" medallion at the bit, and the matte finish lets the briar's natural grain show through without any glossy shine competing with all that silver.
This bent Chacom Baccara pipe is built around the same solid metal-top construction that's grown rare across the pipe-making world, with only a handful of makers still doing it. The rim cap isn't just decorative, it protects the bowl edge from the usual charring and dings that come with regular smoking, making this matte briar pipe as practical as it is distinctive-looking. Paired with a comfortable bent stem, it's a tobacco pipe built for smokers who want their briar to stand out in the rack.
