Hapusa Himalayan Dry Gin is the world’s first Himalayan dry gin from Nao Spirits in Goa, India — distilled with Himalayan juniper rather than the standard European juniper that defines London Dry Gin, layered with botanicals indigenous to the Indian subcontinent. The name “Hapusa” is the Sanskrit word for juniper, reflecting the deliberate Indian botanical identity.
Nao Spirits is the Goa-based Indian craft gin producer led by Anand Virmani and Jay Dhawan, distilling in traditional copper pots. The Himalayan juniper produces a distinctly different character from European juniper — pine-forward, resinous, with elevation-derived terroir. Hapusa’s botanical lineup includes gondhoraj lime, mango, coriander seeds, almond, ginger, cardamom, and turmeric — a botanical map of the Indian subcontinent rather than the standard European London Dry profile.
