The Tatuaje Fausto FT127 Robusto is a dark, powerful 5" × 54 cigar created by Pete Johnson and handcrafted at the renowned My Father Cigars factory in Nicaragua. Beneath its oily Ecuadorian Habano Maduro wrapper lies a robust blend of Nicaraguan binder and filler tobaccos, rich in the potent ligero leaves that give Fausto its unmistakable strength. Full-bodied and intensely flavourful, this is a cigar with a commanding presence, delivering deep, roasted tobacco character, dark richness and a generous measure of spice.
Dark chocolate, espresso and black pepper take centre stage, accompanied by earthy undertones, cedar, leather and touches of molasses-like sweetness. The smoke is dense and aromatic, with the pepper providing a lively counterpoint to the deeper cocoa and coffee notes. There's plenty of intensity here, but also enough flavour and complexity to make the experience rewarding from beginning to end.
Fog & Flame Notes: Tatuaje has built a loyal following among cigar enthusiasts, and the Fausto shows off the bolder side of Pete Johnson's blending style. This is a cigar that makes its presence known from the first few draws, with rich, dark flavours, a generous dose of pepper and plenty of strength. Yet there's more to it than sheer power, with layers of cocoa, coffee and earthy sweetness giving the experience real depth. For those who enjoy a full-bodied cigar with plenty of character, the FT127 is one worth seeking out.
