The Macallan Litha is born from a meeting of worlds, a whisky shaped in Spain and perfected in Scotland. Crafted exclusively in first fill sherry seasoned oak casks from Jerez de la Frontera, it carries the warmth of the Andalusian sun and the character of the sherry-soaked wood before finding its true form at The Macallan Estate. At 40% ABV, it captures balance and elegance while honoring tradition.
Golden in color, Litha opens with a nose of butterscotch, vanilla, chocolate, and citrus lifted by tropical fruits. The palate unfolds with layers of vanilla ice cream crowned with berry compote, toasted oak, salted caramel, pecans, and warming spice, finishing in a medium embrace of fruits and sweet oak. This harmony makes it both indulgent and refined, the kind of single malt to savor neat when moments call for reflection or celebration.
Taking its name from the summer solstice, Litha represents light, new beginnings, and the power of creation. Its vibrant presentation box, illustrated by Sija Hong, symbolizes the union of Spain and Scotland in color and spirit. More than a whisky, The Macallan Litha is an invitation to experience the spark of two forces colliding, creating something extraordinary with every sip.
