Distilled by Two Rivers Distillery in Calgary, Alberta, this small-batch craft release delivers a rich, corn-forward flavor profile reminiscent of traditional bourbon. Matured in heavily charred new American oak barrels, the whisky blends local prairie corn with rye and malted barley, resulting in a sweet, oaky spirit with rounded notes of caramel, vanilla, and gentle baking spices.
Food Pairing: Barbecue pulled pork, smoked ribs, pecan pie, dark chocolate, or sharp aged Cheddar.
Tasting Notes: Warm golden amber with medium clarity and slow-drifting legs along the glass.
Nose: Rich and inviting, opening with sweet yellow corn, toasted oak, and butterscotch, followed by vanilla bean, brown sugar, and a touch of baking spice.
Palate: Smooth and creamy on the palate, featuring sweet caramel, honeyed corn, and vanilla upfront before evolving into light rye spice, toasted coconut, and char.
Finish: Medium length and warming, with lingering notes of sweet oak, toasted sugars, and gentle cinnamon spice.
Serve: Enjoy neat at room temperature, over a large ice cube, or as a rich base in an Old Fashioned or Manhattan.
